This is just a picture from my files. I thought I should add one instead of just blabbing.. this way you don't know that I'm up to nothing.. wasting a day. Isn't this little snowman cute? 10 years ago, or so,( just before I gave up all of my other creative pursuits to concentrate only on quilting) I was into painting. and woodcarving and woodworking. Using a scroll saw is a lot like machine quilting, only you move wood under a saw blade instead of a quilt under a needle. This little snowman was a design intended to be painted onto a flat surface. I made it three dimensional . Looking at the photo, I'm almost sad that I tossed it in my big studio clean up. Somewhere through the years he lost one of his mittens.
Let's see, what have I been up to? Yesterday I ventured out after being sick for almost a week. I did drag myself out of bed on Thursday to go back to work.. now I wish I hadn't. I'm not 100% but I'm feeling much better. The last couple of days, I have taken Sam to be groomed, and I have finished about 2/3 of a ribbed knit hat, and that's about it.
