MY STUDIO FIREPLACE

It's snowing outside as I sit by the warm glow of my studio fireplace. I am working on some last minute Christmas gifts. I have a few small quilted items that need to be bound, and I am making rice bags for my co-workers. I made a bunch a few years ago and they really liked them. They are so easy to make. I am going to try mixing in some of the lavendar that I cut and dried last summer into some of the bags. I have mittens to finish, and I a gift or two to buy, and then I'm done.
We went to Amishland today so that I could finally pick up the serger that I left there almost a month ago. It is a Singer that I purchased around 25 years ago. It has worked like a trooper all of these years and I have never had any problems with it. I took it for a good cleaning and it looks like new. I don't make a lot of garments anymore, but it will be nice to have this to finish the seams. It made all of the difference in the clothes I made for my kids when they were little.
Other than this, nothing going on this weekend. As soon as I have some things finished, I will show you. Keep warm/ or cool, depending on where you are!

Cool frpl. I miss going to Amishland. When my family (not me) still lived in Ohio that's where I always liked to go when I was back for a visit.
