TOSS IT?

When I sent my husband into the attic to bring down all of the Christmas stuff, he found this Santa that I made in my painting/woodworking days. He is a little over 3 feet tall and holds a brass horn that used to be shiny. My first act was to sit him outside with the garbage. Then I thought that maybe a friend that is really into decorating would like him. But she also has realized that she has too much Christmas 'stuff'. I was getting ready to tote him to the garbage again, and thought.. 'what if he was holding a quilt?' I only have this little unfinished quilt available to try out. So here goes... what do you think? toss Santa and his dirty nose? Find a new home? ( Anyone I know that lives close is welcome to him). Or give him a reprieve?

Keep, keep, keep him OR I'll take him. He's adorable holding the quilt.

Keep him! I think he's really cute holding a quilt.

Teri, you must keep him. He looks so good with the quilt. He could come and live with me, but it's a bit far. Merry Christmas.

He looks awfully cute with the quilt, but I know how it is. I am an "out with the old, in with the new" person. I'd give him to a woman's shelter or nursing home.

He certainly doesn't belong in a landfill. If you decide not to keep him, donate him. But, like the others, I think he does a fine job holding a quilt.

I'd freecycle him, personally. He's cute, but truth be told, Teri, I don't think he's your type. There's someone though, who absolutely needs him. freecycle.org - they'll come right to your front step to get him.

I love your Santa holding the quilt - the fact that you made him makes him eligible for family heirloom for future generations -just think someday your grandkids will display him with one of your quilts and tell your greatgrands about you.
