Recently, I was asked if I would allow the photo of my lone star on this blog. I made it in a Jan Krentz class.

This is the finished quilt :

I did have it in a guild show, just for display. The quilt in the sidebar is the quilt that won first place. This quilt was a practice quilt, and the quilt I was practicing to make is a broken lone star that would completely fit in the center section of this one.
And I would add, the next best thing to taking a class with Jan is having a "Jan in the Box". Her DVD is fantastic, and is very useful to have around when you take a break from your project to do something like finish a wedding quilt. She is always there to refresh my memory.
