RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT TIME

My small sewing group meets in a retirement community's meeting room. One of our members lives there, so we have been meeting there once a month for almost two years. The center has a shop where the residents sell stuff they no longer want, and then they use the money that the shop makes to help residents that need some sort of help. We always visit the shop when we meet and I have picked up some pretty good things for a very reasonable price. When we met there on Friday, the lady that runs the shop brought around a 'special' sale cart for us. It had all kinds of old sewing and knitting notions that were discarded by their previous owners. I got these 3 sterling silver thimbles, and a few other things for $1.50!!!
I have collected thimbles for many years. When I first started, I was content to get those novelty thimbles made out of ceramic, but I have since moved on to thimbles that could actually be used. So, I was very happy that these came my way. That kind of thing doesn't happen to me very often.

It is a cold and rainy weekend here, I am using the opportunity to catch up on my laundry. Oh joy. I hope that you are having some fun!

Those are nice and what a good buy. Don't find those too often. I like the one in the middle.

Wow Teri, that middle one looks almost exactly like my wedding ring. So pretty and what a buy.
