I think Glen Beck is an idiot, frankly, but I wouldn't waste my time arguing with him.

I'd be lying if I said I was surprised that you didn't like Beck. And it is a good thing you wouldn't argue with him because you would lose. And I figure that you probably think I'm also an idiot because I agree with a good deal of what he says. That's okay, at least I know that I am not alone. I've always said that you have to have a sense of humor to 'get' Beck.
You asked me one time to recommend a book. I said Common Sense by, of course, Beck. At that time I hadn't read the 5000 Year Leap. It is a kind of American History book that gives you an idea of what kind of country the founders were shooting for, and what made us great. I probably should have had you start with the basics to get you off on the right foot.
I still have hope for you.

I read Common Sense, and found it sadly lacking in just that. I don't think you're an idiot, Teri, and you know I don't. And I think I have a sense of humour, but find Mr. Beck far more disturbing than I find him funny.
