Last week was easy for some of you, but I only got one correct answer this week. I'm sure once you see this quilt you will know what it is
MOTHER EARTH AND HER CHILDREN by Sieglinde Schoen-Smith. This quilt won best of show a couple of years ago, and since I wasn't there, I didn't think that I would ever see it. But in 2008 at the AQS show, I went to a book vendor in the basement, and there, hanging on the wall was this quilt. I was so excited. I absolutely love detailed quilts, and this really fits the bill. It is hand appliqued, hand embroidered, and I assume hand quilted, although I didn't actually take any notice of the quilting. I'm glad that I got a chance to see it in person and close up.

That is amazing. The detail, my goodness.
I saw this at Houston IQF. I couldn't take my eyes off it, there was so much to see!
