QUILTING ALERT

Please excuse the terrible cell phone photo. The fabrics in this quilt are mostly civil war repros in rich colors, but I didn't have my camera. My friend Linda and I got together and made this queen size quilt. We had the pieces cut for 2 years. It is intended to be used as our guild raffle quilt, but I don't want to do all of the extra work it will take to plead with members to sell their share of tickets. I don't want to go to a bunch of venues to sell tickets.. you know the drill if you belong to a guild. So, our idea is to give the unfinished top as a door prize (members only, must be present to win) at the December meeting. All year we have been doing a PHD (projects half done) Challenge. People signed up all of their challenge pieces, and all year they brought in the pieces they finished. In December we will do the reveal of who finished the most quilts on their lists. What better end to the evening, than to give a PHD as a prize?
I'm waiting to hear back if this plan is okay with the guild officers.

Have a good day!!

That is a nice quilt. I love the pieced border and the plain squares in the center. I am not sure I could give it away.
