I am trying a new way to store my circulars. Since I have an empty closet, I am using that to store my battings and bolts of various fabrics and interfacings. On the pole, I have used curtain rings ( found in the curtain section of Walmart $1.75 for 12) On each ring, I have placed all of the circular needles according to size. I have some plastic tags that I will add to each ring to make it easier to find the correct size at first glance.
I have also used these rings to hang the various templates that I don't often use. They are out of my way and easy to find. Last night I threw away a bunch of magazine articles that I have saved over the years thinking I might get to the project. I only kept the easy quilt ones because I need ideas on how to use up a lot of fabrics at once. If I make a difficult quilt, it will be my own design or something adapted from an antique quilt. I don't make many quilts from patterns anymore..
Well, just thought I would check in. I have so much to do, I wish that I could retire so I wouldn't have to cram everything into the few days that I have off. I am going to be picking up extra to cover someone that is going on her maternity leave. Less time- more money. I know what the right choice is, but I wish I had the time AND the money..
Don't we all..?

Love your system - no empty closets here- but I plan to quilt a holder for my circs and other needles-(2 different holders) to keep them all together so I can find what I need.
Hope you had a Merry Christmas Teri. Thanks for all the great posts. I'm busy organizing things here. It must be catching...
I need to throw everything into the middle of two rooms and start over on the organizing thing. Instead, it is all sitting in the middle of the two rooms in random chaos. Not happening.
Have a great New Year, Teri.
