UFO UPDATE

Do you remember when you could order this block of the month?  I have the WHOLE thing.  I don't even want to know how much it cost all together.  I do love the Christmas Quilt Sampler, and each pack came with several different ideas on how to use the blocks. But they wouldn't let you just purchase the whole thing, and it took forever and a lot of paid postage and handling to buy this.  NEVER AGAIN.  If it had come out now, I would draft the patterns from the ads in the magazine and I would have held onto my money.

If there are any ufo's that are at the top of my finish list, this quilt will be one of them.

Tea dyed photos of quilters along with the words of quilters.  I am going to add traditional blocks.  I would like to add some more photos, but I don't know if I can get the same look with different fabrics and different printers printing out the photos.

This is another priority to finish.  It is a challenge that my miniature group was working on.  Granted, it has been a couple of years, and only one of us has finished.  But I would like to get this finished.

In the meantime... still digging

Ten years ago I bought the complete Moonglow kit. Cost a bundle. Didn't finish it.

I think I did copy the blocks of that quilt, or one very similar, but I never made it. I still have the pictures, and I am still open to the idea...it's a nice quilt.

I saved the initial pack - which had a couple of free blocks, and decided I would draft my own pattern. Never did do that, but when I went to the thrift store last month, the initial pack was there. Bought it again since I don't know where mine is. I might make it - using these and other blocks.

I hope you're feeling better. Never bought one of those BOMs since I have trouble finishing things and they are very pricey. I thought about buying the McKenna Ryan one with words like Love-Hope, etc(Keepsake Quilting had it in their catalog) to make for the wedding couple but then I decided that I better have an idea of what the Bride really wants before I spend all that $$. She has very definite taste and, although I like it, it's not a lot like mine.
Stay warm-my husband is getting a cold...kill me now...
