Yay Canada! Loved the colorful opening ceremony. Fiddles and tapdancers..cool! Plus the added benefit to know that the participants weren't forced to be there by the government like they were at the opening of the Bejing Olympics.
I'm with you. I loved the opening ceremonies from Canada-even with the clitch with the caldron at the end. I felt betrayed when all the info on the china ceremony came out- lip synching, computer enhancing.

I must have drifted off when the tapdancers and fiddlers were on. I liked that everyone was in white--it was a surreal effect.
