I have been busy today digging through years of accumulated fabrics and things in my old sewing room.  Several years ago I bought some spandex and a bag of micro beads to make one of those squish pillows for the dog.  I finally got it done;
I think Sam likes it.. he like anything comfortable.  I'm sure he won't appreciate what a nightmare it was to work with those microbeads.  The package said that they have a lot of static cling (understatement) and gave instructions on how to empty the bag into the pillow.  I didn't have scissors to cut the corner, so I jammed it into the pillow and tore a hole with my fingers.. I pulled back my hand which was totally gloved with teensy tiny little microbeads.  Interesting.  Not as bad as it could have been I guess.
The next thing that I found was a bag from a store full of this wool fabric, some grommets and a zipper. So, do you figure I planned to make a bag or something? I have no idea what I was going to use this fabric for, I don't think I would buy it again, it's ugly.

I found LOTS of other stuff.  Interesting fabrics, completed quilt tops.  I haven't photographed them for the blog, but I will, and I will spread them out so there is something to see everyday.

The other two not so great things today.  Depending on how you look at it.  My husbands client gave him a bag of these ( minus 2 bags we left out of the drawer)
My biggest weakness.  Cookies...
The other thing that happened is I was cleaning out one of my files, I had a bunch of extra pics and pdfs that I hadn't put in a permanent file and I had this weird file that just showed up and I couldn't delete it.  So, I re-named that file, and instead of only putting one thing in it to see if it would work, I put all of the extra files in it, and now I can't get any of them to open and I can't take them out.  Dumb, Dumb, Dumb.
Have a good Monday.  It's back to work for me... for two whole days then I have some time off.  My son -in -law just back from Afghanistan, and my daughter are coming to visit.  I haven't seen him in over a year, and my daughter was here for a couple of weeks last July.  It will be nice to see them.

Have a good evening!

Cookies are my weakness too. Have you ever tried Carr's lemon filled gingersnap cookies? They have to be my favorite. I don't see them everywhere, and I saw them at the drugstore the other day of all places. I didn't buy any. I'd have eaten them all by now anyway.
