UPDATE TO LAST POST

This is the dress before. I know it is hard to see, but maybe you can see the age spots on the bodice, the front of the skirt , and on the left side of the skirt.. there were big spots of brown on the back. If I had known how well this was going to work, I would have done a better job of chronicling it.
This is the dress when it was really wet lying on a sheet in my yard.
After it was partially dry, and not as heavy, I put it on a hanger in a nearby tree. As you can see it is spot free. Looks as good as new!
If any of you have a good idea of how it increase the bodice so it is bigger, I would appreciate it. I have two talented friends who are going to help me with this. I made my clothes when I was a kid, but I don't know the first thing about alterations. We will probably have to use the fabric in the jacket as there just isn't much extra to work with. I may have to try to match the fabric. or something. It is fitted, not gathered at the waistline. I hope it can be done. Of course, my less endowed twin isn't interested in wearing my dress and it would probably downsize much easier.

It is a lovely dress, and I'm glad the spots came out. I don't know what to tell you about the alterations except to widen at the back where the zipper is. Assuming there is a zipper. What if you took out the zipper altogether and made it a lace-up? That would actually look pretty good.

Good luck.

I want to go in that store "Flavors of India" in the North Market picture...
