NEW GRANDPUPPY

This is my new Alaskan Grandpuppy. Right now his name is Oreo. That is what the breeder calls him. He will be old enough to go home with my daughter in a couple of weeks. He's a little Shih Tzu. Isn't he sweet? Any name suggestions that I can pass on to my daughter? I am fond of giving my dogs people names.

Awww, how sweet he is. How about Tiger after Tiger Woods. That's not exactly a people name though. I always name my pets people names.

Kipper comes to mind for some reason. Let us know what she names him. He's really cute.

Oh, isn't he the cutest!? How about Bixby? I think he looks like a Bixby. Although Kipper is pretty darn cute too. Not Oreo though. We used to have a cat named Stan, now have one named Mr. Bean. I like people names too.

that's interesting--I was always taught not to name dogs people names because dogs are not people. I always thought it would be embarrassing to have a dog with the same name as your best friend's new grandbaby, for example. So, we always stuck with names like Champ, Hobbs, or Magic.

I think Oreo is a cute dog name!

I know what Debra means - I was so verklempt when one of my co-workers named her dog Kodi, because our (deceased) son's name was Cody. And she talks about Kodi, Kodi, Kodi all the time. (just like me and Goofy...) I've gotten used to it but oh, it did upset me for awhile. My suggestions are things like Spot, Sassy, Bo, Scooter, or Peanut.
