FREE FRIDAY

It's done! This is the GIRASOLE SHAWL
This is the less lucky WEDDING SHAWL

It would have been beautiful. I had already knitted about 8" or so with about 16 more reapeats of the 20 or so pattern repeats to finish the ONE side. The thought of knitting a whole other side was daunting enough.. add in the whiteness.. the tiny yarn, the irritating shift forward and back in rows about 1/3 of the way through every pattern repeat, and the kicker of a daughter expressing that she might not even need a shawl on a July evening, and it was the frog pond for this baby.

Now, since I don't have a knitting project, I can finish the quilt.. but wait, I have all of this soft white yarn, what about this FOUNTAIN PEN SHAWL

Yes, I already started it. Much less mind numbing pattern. I really liked the other pattern, but I may try it again someday, in a different yarn and color..

In the meantime, I am going to have to think about what to do with a white shawl.

Your Girasole is gorgeous !!
One of the knitters in my group is making the fountain pen shawl- it is really pretty.
Why not make a lace tablecloth with the white yarn.

You could tie-dye it...

The girasole is beautiful, I have never seen (or heard of) one before. I wish I could knit.
