KEEP YO PAINTED ON EYES OFF MY WOMAN

Went to Old Navy today. And look.. my favorite actors were in the store! Yes, I'd almost forgot about it being "Back to School" time. I was surrounded by screeching kids in every store I went to. I vaguely remember thinking that I would take those days back.. but nah.
Although I have to say that if my kids ever laid down on the floor or sat in a shopping cart screaming, they only did it ONCE. I'm amazed how these young moms can be oblivious to their kid screaming at the top of their lungs, 6" from their face. The adage "I'll give you something to cry about" comes to mind. And I only had to tell mine once, if you know what I mean.

My kids were always well behaved when we were out. If they were tired and cranky, I went home and put them to bed, I didn't inflict them on the world at large.

I found a hard case on clearance for my "Zune". Great little player. Not only is it red, it is 120 gb. And I got it exclusively for audio books.

Our library has an extensive list of down-loadable audio books. My little Zen mp3 player is only 2gb, so it only holds about 6 or 7 books at a time. I'd download a bunch of books, and I had to delete some of them before I could listen to them. My Zen had a bookmarking feature. If you turned off the player, it would start at the beginning of the track when you turned it back on. The bookmark allowed me to find where I left off. It had it's drawbacks. This little Zune just picks up where it left off, regardless if you switch between several books. They will each give the option to resume play where it left off.
The library is also starting to offer downloads for the different digital readers. I don't have one, but it looks like a fun thing to play with. I don't know a lot about them, but I think I would go with the Sony reader. I wouldn't want a Kindle, because I have this aversion to paying for digital downloads. If I was going to shell out money for a book, it would have to be one that I can put on a shelf. I don't think I can download from the library to the Kindle reader.
I like audio books because I can do other things while listening. If I was going to sit and read a digital reader, I might as well have a real book in my hands.
Recently, just so I could keep up with my girls, I downloaded and listened to all four of the books from the 'Twilight" series. At first I wasn't sure about them, I'm not crazy about books featuring teenage romance, but by the time the ending came around they had grown on me. The main characters, Bella and Edward aren't "Buffy and Angel" but the ending was happier.
Well that's it for today. I am going with a friend to some kind of machine quilting thing tonight. And I have a day with friends tomorrow, and Friday. My life, as well as my schedule, is full
